This summer, we’ll be heading to southern Wisconsin for a memorable day filled with unique attractions and delightful discoveries. Highlights of the tour include a fascinating classic car museum, a one-of-a-kind candy store with a heartwarming story, an incredible Christmas store packed with holiday charm, and an exceptionally interesting creamery farm experience. To top it all off, a delicious included lunch will be served midday. We’re confident this is a trip you won’t want to miss!

7:15 AM: Boarding
Begin boarding the Motor Coach at N.E.W. Credit Union, 301 Jackson St, Oconto Falls, WI 54154

9:30 – 10:15 AM: Confections For Any Occasion by Joel
Chocolate is the specialty of Joel Bernhard, a remarkable entrepreneur who happens to be blind. What began in 1999 as a hobby making candy for friends and neighbors quickly grew into a thriving business as word spread about his delicious chocolates and handcrafted treats. As demand increased, Joel expanded production by renting a local kitchen. During our visit, we will enjoy a presentation about Joel’s inspiring journey and business, along with a brief tour of the facility. Of course, there will also be plenty of time to browse and shop for some sweet treats to take home.
10:45 – 12:00 PM: Wisconsin Automotive Museum
Enjoy a guided tour of the Wisconsin Automotive Museum, where history comes alive through an impressive collection of vintage transportation. As Wisconsin’s largest automotive museum, it features an ever-changing display of classic and antique automobiles, fascinating artifacts, and exhibits that showcase the evolution of transportation through the years. The museum is also home to the world’s largest collection of Hartford-built Kissel luxury automobiles, offering visitors a unique glimpse into Wisconsin’s rich automotive heritage. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or simply appreciate history, this museum promises a memorable and engaging experience.
12:15 – 1:15 PM: Lunch at the Mineshaft Restaurant
Enjoy an included lunch at the popular Mineshaft Restaurant, where you’ll have your choice of five delicious entrée options: an Icelandic Cod Fish Sandwich, Reuben Sandwich, Mineshaft Clubhouse, Bacon Cheeseburger, or a fresh Chef Salad. Sandwich selections are served with fries and coleslaw, and all meals include a beverage and dessert. Relax, recharge, and enjoy a satisfying meal before continuing our day of exploration and fun.
2:00 – 3:00 PM: Kristmas Kringle Shop
Step into a world of holiday magic at this enchanting two-story Bavarian-style shoppe, designed to resemble the charming village stores of Europe. Inside, you’ll discover more than 70 beautifully decorated trees showcasing ornaments and treasures from around the globe. Experience the sights, sounds, and spirit of the holidays any time of year as you browse this festive wonderland. But there’s much more than Christmas décor to explore! Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, jewelry lover, gardener, or searching for the perfect gift for a special someone, you’ll find an incredible selection of unique items throughout the store. This delightful shopping destination truly offers something for everyone.
3:30 – 4:30 PM: LaClare Family Creamery
LaClare Family Creamery is a one-of-a-kind destination that offers visitors a closer look at Wisconsin’s rich cheesemaking tradition. During our visit, we’ll enjoy a guided tour and learn about the history and operations of both LaClare Family Creamery and Saxon Creamery. Guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at the cheesemaking process through special viewing windows, providing a unique glimpse into how their award-winning cheeses are crafted. As an added highlight, we’ll have the opportunity to interact with LaClare’s friendly kid goats, making for a fun and memorable hands-on experience. Whether you’re a cheese lover, animal enthusiast, or simply curious about farm life, this stop is sure to be a favorite!

To register, visit any N.E.W. Credit Union location or Call 1-800-924-1250. Full registration and payment of $110 per person is due by August 28, 2026. No refunds will be issued after August 28, 2026. PLEASE NOTE: that registering does not guarantee availability. Registration is first come, first serve. If the tour is full, you will be placed on the waiting list. By registering, you authorize N.E.W.
